Those who have visited India are subjected to a 10-day quarantine in Japan.

Japan recently announced that the quarantine period for those who recently visited India and five other South Asian countries will be extended from six to ten days. This decision was made in response to growing concerns about the spread of Coronavirus.

All visitors to India, the Maldives, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal will now be subjected to a 10-day quarantine rather than the previous six-day period, according to the Japanese government.

According to reports, this update will primarily affect Japanese citizens, as the government has already banned foreign nationals from entering Japan, including those with resident status and those who have visited those countries within the last two weeks, unless special circumstances apply.

According to reports, the government will likely impose a three-day quarantine for those who have recently travelled to Tunisia or Kazakhstan, as well as a Coronavirus test on the final day.

In response, Japan’s Chief Secretary Katsunobu Kato stated that the Japanese people are concerned about Coronavirus variants, which is why they have decided to tighten border controls even more to protect their health and lives.
