I’m sure many of us must be red wine lovers. But this bottle of red wine is no ordinary one.
The bottle was recently put up for auction, according to an Instagram post by the handle ‘christiesinc,’ a private auction company, and one bottle of French wine will set you back $1 million (Rs. 7,29,10,500).
“This is the first-time wine has traveled to the ISS and returned to Earth, aging in a carefully monitored and controlled environment, as part of a series of experiments undertaken by Space Cargo Unlimited, a one-of-a-kind European ‘New Space’ start-up,” according to Christie’s official Instagram account.
The space-aged Petrus is presented in a one-of-a-kind trunk designed and handcrafted by the Parisian Maison d’Arts Les Ateliers Victor, along with a bottle of Pétrus 2000, a decanter, glasses, and a meteorite corkscrew.
According to the Instagram post, all proceeds from the sale will go toward funding future space missions, giving collectors the chance to own a piece of space history while also helping to fund ongoing research.
