Friends: The Reunion, an unscripted special in which the show’s main cast reunited, was a worldwide success. Warner Bros. Television commissioned the 110-minute episode, which is also known as “The One Where They Get Back Together,” for their HBO Max streaming service.
The Show was released on May 27th, HBO Max’s first birthday. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer reprise their roles in this episode.
David Beckham, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Reese Witherspoon, Malala Yousafzai, BTS, and Cara Delevingne were among the celebrities who attended.
The emotional and nostalgia-filled episode drew a lot of attention on social media, but there are hard numbers to back it up as well. The special appears to be assisting HBO Max in gaining subscribers.
The Reunion episode has also helped increase interest in the main show across the country. India, it turns out, is one of the show’s top five markets. India was ranked third after the United States and Brazil, according to Parrot Analytics. When it came to national demand, Friends was 17.85x the average show.
